Deputy Director at CaixaBank and Chairman of The Global Compact Spanish Network
Mr Angel Pes is the Deputy Director at CaixaBank and Chairman of The Global Compact Spanish Network (since 2012), the local chapter of the United Nations initiative to encourage businesses worldwide to adopt sustainable and socially responsible policies and to report on their implementation. He is also member of the Global Board of the same entity.
Mr Pes has published numerous books and articles about the economy in specialised magazines and newspapers. He published books regards Sustainable Economy, inspired by his experience in the Global Compact, and books about the Corporate Social Responsibility management at CaixaBank. In his last book, “Four-leaf Clovers”, published in 2015, he discusses what are responsible businesses and how to sow and grow these values in our organisations, while simultaneously contributing to the material development of societies as they achieve their goal – the creation of economic value.
He holds a PhD in Economics from the Universitat de Barcelona, where he is currently a Senior lecturer / Associate professor on voluntary leave of the Faculty of Economics and Business.
