Co-founder and CEO at Authentycitys
Elena is the co-founder and CEO of Authenticitys: an online platform that connects conscious travellers with local changemakers through city experiences and tours. They aggregate tours that are currently provided by different organisations, NGOs, social enterprises where the tour has a local impact in at least one of our six dimensions (health, education, environment, employability, equality and happiness). She is also the co-founder of Bloom Microventures, a social enterprise which has a unique model that harnesses the power of responsible tourism to alleviate poverty in rural Vietnam.
Ms. Rodríguez Blanco is also a professor and researcher of social innovation and entrepreneurship in several universities. She has co-authoured two publications on social entrepreneurship and Innovation (2012). With 10+ years of experience in management and finance, she works as a facilitator, researcher and consultant for organisations and entrepreneurs seeking business development and model strategy, start-up advice, social impact, and project design (as a Project Management Professional certified by the Project Management Institute, and a practitioner of Dragon Dreaming).
She has previously worked as a project management expert for large institutions such as the European Central Bank (Frankfurt), General Electric (Milan, Paris, Barcelona) and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (UK).
Originally born in Costa Rica, she studied International Business and Finance in Grove City College (USA), and have a Masters in Business Administration from SDA BOCCONI (Italy), a Masters in Development Management from The London School of Economics (UK) and a Masters in TeamCoaching from Mondragon Team Academy (Spain).
